Regenerative Tourism in the dimension of Las Balsas
Within the regenerative paradigm there are two main premises: The first one, a holistic approach, which means being part and being interrelated. The second approach, is that the purpose of existing is to regenerate and add positively to your surroundings, as opposed to an extractive operation, such as a mining procedure.
Regenerative tourism assumes that we are part of a destination ( a system), not isolated and unrelated to other parts of this system. In addition, the most important thing, is that we have to offer special moments to tourists, adding a positive effect on the destination, that is for nature and the community travelers are visiting..
During the process of our transformation into a sustainable company, we set ourselves the mission of contributing with a “positive footprint in Patagonia”. For Las Balsas R&C our main objective is to be positive for both, the community and nature of our beautiful region as a fundamental reason to thrive.
With a history of more than 25 years in the “art of hospitality” in Patagonia, Las Balsas belongs to the community of Villa la Angostura, a small mountain village. It made sense to us, from the very beginning, that we must contribute to the same society our children grow up in.
Having proudly walked this regenerative path, where we certified as a B-corp company. We realized the true dimension of being part of this movement. We are the means for our guests to have the opportunity to contribute in a positive way to the destination where they decide to enjoy unique experiences, hence through a minimal negative impact.
This way, we naturally adopted this amazing regenerative paradigm in our company’s vision.
We invite you to be part of this journey as well.
