Location
A peaceful mountain lodge resting on a lake in Patagonia inside the National Park “Nahuel Huapi”, Las Balsas possess a unique and natural landscape background. Villa La Angostura is the main town situated 3 km north through the mythical route 40, half way between Bariloche and San Martin de Los Andes, also known as the “7 lakes route”. Our property is 80 km north from San Carlos de Bariloche’s International Airport and 120 km south from San Martin de los Andes Airport.2

In Villa La Angostura, the summers are comfortable, dry, and partly cloudy and the winters are very cold, wet, and mostly cloudy. Over the course of the year, the temperature typically varies from -0°C to 20°C and is rarely below -6°C or above 27°C. The warm season lasts for 3.2 months, from December 9 to March 16, with an average daily high temperature above 18°C. The hottest day of the year is February 1, with an average high of 20°C and low of 8°C. The cold season lasts for 3.4 months, from May 19 to September 1, with an average daily high temperature below 9°C. The coldest day of the year is July 18, with an average low of -0°C and high of 7°C.3
